SAN DIEGO, Calif. – September 16, 2009 – Viejas Casino voted San Diego's Best Casino 10 years in a row, has opened a new poker room on the first floor of the Casino. The new, more spacious poker room boasts over 20 tables, more plasma screens for football, boxing and other events, and easier access for players and spectators.
The new poker room’s location adds to the excitement at the heart of the casino, on the main floor, just inside the South entrance. The expanded area allows for more guests to try their hand during regular play, and more capacity for Viejas Casino’s popular poker tournaments.
"Moving our poker room to the main floor has already created a lot of buzz on our casino floor, from both poker players and other casino guests who pick up on all the new activity and excitement in the table games area. We've received great feedback from our guests and we’re looking forward to offering new tournaments and payouts in the coming months," said Viejas Casino General Manager Jack McGinty.
